Pumpkin Pie is here! Every year this flavor is scooped up and enjoyed by many of our happy customers. We are excited to announce it is back and only available for a limited time.

Since right now is "pumpkin spice everything" season, here are some fun facts about this time-honored seasonal favorite!

•Pumpkin is native to North America, and was brought to Europe in the 1600's.

•The original pumpkin pie didn't have a crust (our's does and it's very tasty!). The original way it was prepared was with a hallowed out pumpkin shell and they baked it in hot ashes with milk, honey and spices.

•The first pumpkin pie with a pastry shell was create in 1651 by a French Chef and it was called "Tourte of Pumpkin".

•Pumpkin pie wasn't served at the first thanksgiving, but now we can't imagine the holiday with out it. Pumpkin was used in other recipes though, so it still has historical significance with the holiday.

•The American Pie Council (yes, that's a "thing") says 1 out of 5 Americans has eaten an entire pumpkin pie to themselves... color me guilty.
